Hello! This blog is a small tribute dedicated to, in my humble opinion, what is the best latin music, the colombian cumbia, tropical rythm been born in that warm country.
As you will know cumbia, being part of colombian folklore, was in principle a fusion of native, african and spanish rythms, but along the history "she" (as I like to call it) has incorporated elements from jazz, salsa, and the like, but always keeping her striking and seductive original cadence.
Here we will try to review the bands, singers, composers, and authors who made of cumbia what is today, a music without frontiers...
